Privacy policy

1. Who we are

GestioPro is a service offered in Quebec, Canada (“GestioPro”, “we”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights.

2. Our principle: your data stays with you

Your business data (your clients, sales, prices, inventory and appointments) is stored on your device. We don’t have access to it and we never sell it.

If you turn on online backup (included with the subscription), a copy of this data is encrypted on your device with your PIN before it is sent. We only keep this encrypted copy: without your PIN, neither we nor anyone else can read it. Your PIN is never sent to us.

3. What we collect

• Your account: your name, email, cell number and business name.
• Quebec small business or start-up discount: your Quebec enterprise number (NEQ), only to check your eligibility.
• Website visit statistics: we count visits and some clicks (try, subscribe, examples) anonymously, with the approximate city or region and the site you came from. No cookies are used and your IP address is not kept.
• “Notify me” list: your name, your email, the date and the wording of your consent, only to announce the Small business plan and its launch offer. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us.
• Your subscription: payment is processed by Stripe. We never see your card number.
• Emails sent by the app: they go out from your own email account (Gmail, Outlook or other). The recipient’s email and the message may pass through our systems while being sent, then are deleted within 30 days.
• Texts: they go out from your own cell phone, through your Messages app. They don’t pass through our systems. If you turn on automatic texts (a paid option offered later), the recipient’s number and the message will pass through our text provider while being sent, then be deleted within 30 days.
• Activation code: the code sent after your payment, your email and your subscription status, to turn on GestioPro and check that it is still active.
• Online backup (if you turn it on): the encrypted copy of your data, its date and its size. We cannot read its content.
• Technical data: minimal security logs (date, device type) to protect the service.

4. Why we use it

To create and manage your account, process your subscription, apply discounts, send the texts and emails you request, contact you about your account and protect the service. We don’t use your information for targeted advertising.

5. Our providers and transfers outside Quebec

We rely on trusted providers: Stripe (payments and billing), Cloudflare (hosting of the site, the server and the encrypted online backups), Resend (sending our automatic emails, such as your activation code), your email provider and Twilio (automatic texts, only if you turn them on). Some may process information outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States. Before any transfer, we assess the protection offered and bind these providers by contract.

6. How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active, then 12 months after it closes, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example, tax records). Your online backup is replaced with each new backup (we also keep the previous one, just in case) and deleted on request at any time.

7. Your rights

You can at any time ask to access your information, correct it, withdraw your consent, receive it in a common format, or have it deleted. Write to us at confidentialite@gestiopro.ca. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Your clients’ information

You are responsible for your own clients’ information that you enter in the app. For promotional texts, the app only sends to clients who agreed to receive them, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, and adds a “STOP” option.

9. Security and incidents

We protect information with reasonable measures (encryption, limited access). If a privacy incident presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Cookies

Our website only uses cookies needed for it to work. We don’t use advertising cookies.
